Investigators spent hours Tuesday combing for additional evidence near Smith Lagoon National Wildlife Area in the Sydney Loofe case.
Meanwhile, two hours north of there a community came together in Neligh, Nebraska, where Sydney's father is a high school principal and her mother is a teacher.
In support, people of Neligh have been putting up green ribbons and green lights around town, they have since shifted to support for Sydney's family.
Her parents, George and Susie, have worked in the Neligh-Oakdale school district for 18 years. Tuesday, their coworkers organized a free will donation dinner, along with a raffle around the school's basketball game to help fundraise for the family.
Now, the community is forced to process what happened to Sydney Loofe.
Shock. Disbelief. Anger.
But, the goal of the community remains to support the Loofe family.
