Officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources say they are investigating a body that was found at Lake Anita State Park in Anita Thursday afternoon.
According to officials, A passerby reported an overturned kayak to the Lake Anita Park Manager around 3:00 pm. Crews recovered a male body from the lake, along with a kayak and a paddle.
The victim was identified as 63-year-old Roland “Rollie” Henderson, 63, of Wiota, Iowa.
Officials say an autopsy will be performed at the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner.
Investigators did not find a personal floatation device at the scene.
