Thursday some of Omaha's homeless got a special treat from an area business. Kona Ice brought their truck, from Lincoln to the Siena/Francis House on Nicholas Street to hand out free icy treats.

The Kona Ice visit was paid for by United Healthcare, who also provides a housing navigator for the campus each Wednesday. The housing navigator works to help connect homeless individuals and families with services in the Omaha area.

The Siena/Francis House is the largest homeless shelter in Nebraska. It was founded in 1975 and provides several programs for homeless individuals.

If you'd like to pitch in and help the Siena/Francis House, there are several ways you can make a difference.
