OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Fire Department (OFD) says one person died overnight in a fire inside of a travel trailer.
At 1:09 a.m. Saturday, OFD was dispatched to 5422 S 17th St for an occupied residential structure fire. Upon arrival, fire crews located a travel trailer on a hill fully involved with flames.
During a search of the trailer, a person was found deceased in the debris.
Identification of the individual has not been confirmed at this time, OFD says. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The house that the travel trailer was parked next to sustained thermal damage from the fire.
