Last month, it was an all-out search for Tori the pig in Papillion. The potbelly pig ran away from home and was on the run for days until she was captured after being hit by a car.

Tori has been back home with her family and healing after her back right leg was amputated. Owner Jo Ann Hagan said they are relived she is home with her family.
“She gets around very well on three legs," Hagan said. "She is still quick as the wind. She seems happy."
But the battle for Tori isn’t over: The City of Papillion doesn't allow pigs, and Hagan is fighting to create a new ordinance so she can keep Tori.
Joey Hunter is helping Hagan with the process. Hunter said Councilman Tom Mumgaard plans to introduce a new ordinance.
“We found out we will be able to propose a whole new ordinance and will need five votes to get that through, pending any amendments,” Hunter said.
Hunter and Hagan agree the community support has been amazing.
“People have really come together over this,” Hagan said. “It is just something nice, I guess.”
Hagan has until Nov. 8 — when she has to give Tori up, or seek an extension with the Nebraska Humane Society.
Mumgaard will have to draft the proposal and present it to the city council, which will meet Oct. 17.
