A Pottawattamie County girl is recovering at Nebraska Medicine after a horrible accident last Tuesday.

2-year-old Taryn Graalfs is out of her second surgery and family says the toddler is doing just fine now after this terrifying accident.

She'll turn three this Saturday.

But right now, her family's focus is on helping her bounce back after Tuesday accident.

This happened Tuesday evening at in this area when Taryn was at her dads house.

She was riding a battery-powered truck when it fell over on a hill. Her mom says Taryn was trying to set the truck upright but she slid down the hill and her feet fell the blades of a lawnmower of her half brother's mother was driving at the time.

Taryns mom , Tonya Streck said while her right leg up to her calf is amputated-it could have been a lot worse.

She saw Taryn before she went into the ER and said her little girl didn't even know what happened.

The family said Taryn is very heavily medicated and probably doesn't even know she lost her right foot. But is very hopeful about the situation.
