Thursday was a busy day for Methodist Women’s Hospital, they delivered a record breaking 29 babies in 24 hours. The previous record was 28 babies and that was from August 4th, 2015. The first baby was born at 12:15am and the last at 11:56pm.
15 boys and 14 girls were born, and only one set of twins. All the babies are healthy and doing well on Friday.
The hospital says they usually average about 14 births a day, but are expecting about 500 in the months of May.
14 doctors were delivering and hundreds were on staff to help assist with the 29 babies being born.
