A “Serial Exposer” is given the maximum misdemeanor sentence for his continued actions.  Authorities believe Nathaniel Dixon is a menace at libraries across the metro.

Dixon, 30, pleads no contest to one count of misdemeanor indecent exposure.

In November a person looking at books at the Sump Library in Papillion saw Dixon masturbating.  When arrested he told police he was pulling a prank to film someone's reaction and post it on social media.

"It's obvious that he has intent, this is what he does, this is his M.O. so this is something that we need to make sure that we followed through on and get the conviction that we have," said Deputy Sarpy Co. Attorney Kate Kucera.

Dixon is sentenced to 120 days in jail for the offense, and given credit for time served since he's been locked up since January.  He'll likely go to the Douglas County Jail for another 30 days for a similar lewd act.

In fact prosecutors say Dixon has been caught masturbating 8 different times in the last 2 years at libraries in Omaha, La Vista, Millard, Papillion, and at Creighton University.  Sometimes he has cornered women while doing it.

"It's imperative that people know what's going on because libraries are places where children are, where you have people alone, people need to be made aware and this is not acceptable behavior,” Kucera explained.

Prosecutors say they're pleased with the sentence since it was the maximum allowed, but state law indicates Dixon will not have to register as a sex offender even though he's a repeat offender.

3 News Now filed an Expanded Media Request for Dixon's plea hearing Wednesday, but Sarpy Co. Judge Stephanie Martinez did not allow our camera in the courtroom.

Dixon has another indecent exposure charge pending in Douglas County.
