CTI Electronics in downtown Missouri Valley was on fire after 7a.m. and fire crews from area towns helped out in putting the blaze out.
“I seen a lot of smoke coming out, it was white at first and then all of a sudden it turned black,” said Dawn Wascher.
She used to work in the building where and knows the man who would have been inside.
"Worried about anyone who might be in there which is a friend of mine," said Wascher.
That friend is 44-year-old Chad Stevens seen here he lived and worked in this building.
"He's actually renting a room there and he's also kind of a security at night when nobody is there," said Wascher.
Steven's father tells 3 News Now a sheriff stopped by his house and told him the body has to go through an autopsy but believes it is his son and his girlfriend was also with him when the fire happened.
