Creighton led for just 19 seconds in its final game of the regular season against Marquette in a 93-81 loss. The Jays fall to 23-8 overall and 10-8 in BIG EAST play.

Khyri Thomas led the Jays in scoring with 23 points on 9-16 shooting. Thomas added seven rebounds and five assists in the game against Marquette. Creighton's leading scorer Marcus Foster scored just 10 points on 5-17 from the field.

Creighton was able to outscore the Golden Eagles 44-34 in the paint and scored 10 more fast-break points than Marquette, but the Golden Eagles' three-point shooting hurt the Jays. Marquette hit 14 of their 28 three point shots while Creighton was only able to connect with seven threes.

The Jays will have to wait for the remainder of Saturday's games to finish to see where they are seeded in the BIG EAST tournament. Creighton will play in the first round of the tournament sometime Thursday, March 9.
