The Creighton men's basketball team fell to No. 22 Baylor in the Hall of Fame Classic Championship. The Bears handed the Bluejays their first loss with a comeback win of 65-59.
Previously Creighton beat No. 20 Northwestern 92-88 followed by a 100-89 win over No. 23 UCLA in the Hall of Fame Classic semifinals.
Creighton took an early double-figure lead in the first half. The Bluejays held a 33-28 lead over Baylor at halftime. Khyri Thomas led the Bluejays in the first half with 10 points.
The Bears came within four points with just under 12 minutes remaining, they kept the momentum tying up the game 50-50 with four minutes on the clock. Creighton missed its last 15 consecutive three-pointers giving Baylor the opportunity to take control of the game.
Four Bluejays finished in double-figures, Khyri Thomas led with 15 points while Marcus Foster (12), Martin Krampelj (11) and Ty-Shon Alexander (10).
Creighton hosts SIU Edwardsville Saturday, Nov. 25th at 3:30 p.m.
