Creighton improves to 6-2 on the season after a 111-68 victory over North Dakota

The Creighton men's basketball team improves to 6-2 after a 111-68 win over North Dakota. 

Four minutes into the game the Bluejays and the Fighting Hawks were tied up at 11-11. Creighton went on a 6-0 run to break the tie and take a 17-11 lead; after that the Jays went on to take a 34-17 lead to take control of the half. Creighton held a 51-37 lead at with 13 points from Marcus Foster. 

The Bluejays took a 24 point lead with a little over seven minutes to play in the second half. Creighton's Toby Hegner returned to CenturyLink Center Omaha for the first time since an ankle injury during the Bluejays game against Northwestern. Hegner finished with 15 points on his first night back in Omaha. 

Martin Krampelj recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Khyri Thomas also finished Tuesday's game with 15 points while Ty-Shon Alexander followed with 11 points. Marcus Foster led the Bluejays with 23 points on the night. 

Next, Creighton hosts in-state rival University of Nebraska on Saturday. The game is set to start at 1:30 p.m.
