No. 25 Creighton fell to No. 15 Gonzaga 91-74 Friday night.
Creighton's Marcus Foster led the team with 21 points closely followed by 18 points from Khyri Thomas.
Creighton started off the first half strong holding a 16-12 lead nearly halfway through the first half. The Bulldogs tied up the game twice in the first half, once at 20-20 and again 22-22 with just over eight minutes to play in the half. Back-to-back three-pointers from Toby Henger gave the Jays a 28-22 lead. Creighton went on to take a 44-37 lead over No. 15 Gonzaga at half.
The Bluejays had a tough time holding on to the lead in the second half allowing Gonzaga to take control with just over 16 minutes on the clock. The Bulldogs capitalized on Creighton's turnovers taking an 18-2 run halfway through the second half. Gonzaga took a 10 point lead with just under 13 minutes on the clock. The Bulldogs went on to take an 84-71 lead with four minutes to play. Gonzaga's Killian Tillie led the team with 22 points for the victory.
Next, No. 25 Creighton will host North Dakota Tuesday, Dec. 5th. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
