Severe storms rip through Omaha metro area

7:53 p.m. Multiple fallen trees and downed power lines have been reported throughout the Omaha Metro Area

7:39 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warnings for Cass and Sarpy county until 7:45 p.m. 

7:36 p.m. Rainfall is expected to continue through out the night.  

7:30 p.m. Tornado warnings have been issued for parts of Western Iowa in the Harlan and Shelby area 

7:15 p.m Severe storms and high winds hit the Omaha metro area this evening.   Hail and high winds reaching up to 90 mph have been reported.  Trees have been knocked down and OPPD reported that over 10,000 people are currently without power.  Check out our weather page for up to the minute information.
