OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In an effort to support flood victims across Nebraska, the Archdiocese of Omaha asked its 138 parishes to hold a special collection for relief efforts. Over the two-day period, they managed to raise more than $470,000.
The Archdiocese of Omaha says the money was raised during March 23-24.
They say over $230,000 of the money raised has been disbursed and that the rest will be in the following weeks.
