Governor Ricketts issues executive order for locate requests

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Governor Pete Ricketts has issued a new executive order to extend the response time for locate requests in flood-impacted communities.

State law requires responses to notifications of excavation within two days. Executive Order 19-05 temporarily extends the response time to seven days for personnel engaged in disaster response.

This order is in addition to the Governor's emergency declaration issued on March 12 and three other executive orders issued over the last two weeks. All of the executive orders are effective now and will remain in effect until April 15.

Nebraska continues to encourage surrounding states to temporarily ease their restrictions as well
