MILLS COUNTY, Iowa. (KMTV) — Some Mills County residents can return home due to a partial release of the Mandatory Evacuation Order in the area.

The order was issued Saturday by Mills County Board of Supervisors and Mills County Emergency Management.

Residents of the following unincorporated areas may return home during daylight hours:
· Lambert Avenue from 180th Street West to the Missouri River
· 180th Street between Lambert Avenue and Kane Avenue
· Kane Avenue between 180th Street and Karns Road
· Karns Road between Kane Avenue and Lambert Ave.

Plattsmouth Bridge from Nebraska is currently the only available access route, according to a press release from Mills County.

Residents may use this bridge but are required to replace the bridge closed signage with each crossing.

Access is only available until Lambert Ave. is accessible. At that time, the Plattsmouth Bridge will no longer be available.
