COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa. (KMTV) — Traveling from Council Bluffs to Sioux City became much easier Monday afternoon after a stretch of flood-stricken I-29 reopened.
At 1 p.m. Monday, I-29 between I-680 near Crescent and I-680 at Loveland reopened to traffic.
Since late May, this stretch of road has been closed due to flooding for the second time this season.
Other flood-related closures continue on I-29 from U.S. 34 to the Missouri border.
U.S. 34 remains closed, along with Iowa 2, Iowa 275 and Iowa 333.
Those traveling should continue to check Iowa 511 and Nebraska 511 for up-to-date closure information.
