OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — For those that enjoy live jazz, subtle Blues tunes, exquisite food, and a fun atmosphere, head to the Acadian Grille.
At their two locations in Miracle Hills and Dundee, Acadian Grille offers an authentic Cajun experience that will make you feel like you're in the French Quarter.
With their variety of Cajun cuisine dishes like Gator Bites, Crab Cakes, Gumbo, Louisiana Smoked Salmon Dill Salad, Jambalaya, Shrimp & Grits, and popular Po'Boys, meals at either location are flavorful and colorful.
All of their sauces and salad dressings are made fresh in-house.
Their prices range from $12-17 on average for an entree, which owner Dan O'Brien says are large portions. "I try to keep a good price point, but it's very labor intensive. I spend a lot on labor," said O'Brien.
The meal costs are a bit pricier for a Cheap Eat$ segment, but given that so many recommended Acadian Grille as the best place to be for Fat Tuesday,' we decided to check it out. As O'Brien said, the portions are fair and the taste is great.
For Fat Tuesday on Feb. 25, O'Brien purchased 500 pounds of live Crawfish and will process them on the 24th and 25th at both locations. He says in 2019, Fat Tuesday was their busiest night. He expects 2020 to be same - and yes, there will be beads. Lots of beads.
