OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, in accordance with a proclamation from President Trump, announced Sunday that all Nebraska and U.S. flags are to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of recent mass shootings in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH.
Saturday, 20 people died in a mass shooting at a shopping center in El Paso.
Not even 24 hours later, 9 died in a mass shooting in an arts and entertainment district in downtown Dayton.
Flags are to be flown at half-staff until sunset on Aug. 8.
