OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Three separate shooting incidents happened across Omaha on Saturday, injuring four people.
The first incident happened near 2403 S 17th St. Officers responded to the scene at 6:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire, according to the Omaha Police Department. Minutes later, the victim, 18-year-old Valerie Xochiwua arrived at Nebraska Medical Center with critical injuries. Xochiwua is expected to survive.
Another shooting was reported near 4428 S 21st St. Officers responded to the call at 9:40 p.m.
Officers located the victim, 23-year-old Chirstopher Lopez-Mireles. Lopez-Mireles, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, told officers the person who shot him left in an unknown color Nissan.
Medics transported Lopez-Mireles to Nebraska Medical Center.
Oscar Robles, 23, was arrested in connection to the shooting. He was booked into Douglas County Corrections for First Degree Assault and Felony Possession of a Firearm.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 10:45 p.m. for multiple gunshots near 3502 N 44th Ave.
Officers located two 17-year-old victims who said they were walking in the area when an SUV shot at them.
Medics transported the victims to Nebraska Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
