GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KMTV) — Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation Lakeview, a long-term care facility in Grand Island, reported that 20 of its residents died of COVID-19.
The facility also reported 46 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.
A spokesperson for Emerald Lakeview confirmed this, but said it's been several weeks since the facility became coronavirus-free. He said that's because they followed all guidelines from local, state and federal agencies.
The 20 COVID-19 deaths might be the most of any long-term care facility in Nebraska.
KMTV learned of the cases in data on COVID-19 provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
