OMAHA — Makayla Welchert is a registered nurse in a COVID unit in the Methodist Health System. She recently shared her personal experience working with COVID-19 patients on social media. In particular, she recalled caring for a middle-aged woman who ultimately passed away.
"She told me she knew something bad was going to happen and, to be honest, I had no idea how to help her. I was hopeless. All I could do was hold her hand," said Welchert.
