OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Barchen in Benson handed out 500 free lunches to kids Tuesday afternoon.

They say they wanted to give back to the community because everyone has been supportive of their business over the past couple of years.

Hamburgers, apples, chips, and cookies were passed out thanks to donations from Sisco, Rotellas, Omaha Steaks and Baked After Dark.

“We're giving out free lunches to all of the local children as a show of support to the community and to do something good for the kids who can't go to school and are missing their friends,” said Andrew Miller, General Manager of Barchen.

Barchen is open for dinner delivery only at this time daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. through Doordash and GrubHub.
