Douglas Co. hosting COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Thursday

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Thursday the Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) and community partners will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for people ages 75 and older.

The clinic will be at the Kroc Center which is located at 2825 Y Street.

The DCHD said plenty of spots are still available to those interested. People can register by visiting www.douglascountyhealth.com or by calling 402-444-3400.

The department also released the latest COVID-19 case information for the county.

One-hundred-seven additional new cases have been reported bringing the community’s total to 62,177 since March of 2000.

Three more COVID-19-related deaths were also reported. The cases include “three men, one in his 50s, one in his 70s and one in his 80s.” The total number of COVID-19-related deaths is now up to 628.

The department said 50,790 residents have recovered from the virus.
