OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — CHI Health received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine early Monday.
“This is an incredible moment in medical history,” VP of pharmacy Mike Tiesi said in a Zoom meeting.
The first shipment arrived at CUMC-Bergan Mercy at 6:30 a.m. Four containers were delivered with around 975 vaccines in each container.
Tiesi said other hospitals in the system should expect their doses later Monday.
"Today is probably one of the most exciting and historical days in my career," said Tiesi.
The second dose of the vaccine isn't included in this initial shipment.
