OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — 15 residents and ten staff members at the Douglas County Health Center have tested positive for COVID-19 since March 29. Two of the residents have died from the virus and the facility continues to address mitigation efforts within the building.

Certified Nursing Assistant Justin Stoll says he has the proper protective equipment, despite a nationwide shortage. With a handful of staff members sick, they’ve had to mandate other employees to work overtime to maintain proper nurse-to-resident ratios.

Stoll added, the staff is not only working to keep everyone virus-free but also keep their spirits high during this unprecedented time.
