OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Douglas County Health Director Dr. Lindsay Huse provided a COVID-19 update at Tuesday's Board of Commissioners meeting.

"There were 202 beds open out of 1,372, so not many beds were open. So, just to put that into context for you, that's across the entire system. So, there are hospitals out there that may not have any beds at all. Some may have a few. So, it's not that every single hospital has 85%, you know, 15% open," said Huse.

She added that schools across the county continue to see virus transmission and she says the rate remains about the same as what it was a month ago.
