DES MOINES, Neb. (KMTV) — On Tuesday, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and other officials held a coronavirus briefing.
Reynolds reported 19 new coronavirus deaths, a daily record for the state. Eight are listed as elderly. The rest are classified adults and older adults. 207 total coronavirus-related deaths have now been reported in Iowa.
Officials also reported outbreaks at several meatpacking plants:
- Tyson plants in Waterloo, Perry and Columbus Junction
- Iowa Premium National Beef in Tama
An outbreak was also reported at TPI Composites, a company that produces parts for wind turbines, in Newton.
408 new cases were reported for a total of 10,111 total to date.
