Some COVID test sites closed due to holiday & extreme cold

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If signed up to be tested for COVID-19 today, or tomorrow, you may want to check whether the location is operating.

Some sites are closed today due to “extreme cold” and also due to the federal holiday of President’s Day. The TestNebraska site located at Oakview mall will “remain closed through Tuesday due to a heating issue.”

The following testing sites are closed today

Monday 2/15

  • Bassett – Rock County Fairgrounds
  • Burwell – Loup Basin Public Health Department
  • Chadron – Chadron Community Hospital
  • Fremont – Christensen Field, in observance of federal foliday
  • Grand Island – Central District Health Department, in observance of federal holiday
  • Lexington – Lexington Service Building
  • McCook – Red Willow Fairground
  • North Platte – West Central District Health Department, in observance of federal holiday
  • O'Neill – O’Neill Armory
  • Omaha – Oakview Mall
