OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Over the past month and a half, journalism coverage across the country has shifted to nonstop coverage of the coronavirus pandemic.

While media outlets think they're doing a good job with their coverage, 3 News Now wanted to find out what aspiring journalists think of coverage of the pandemic at the state level.

Reporter Phil Bergman sat down with Professor Barney McCoy's Beginning Reporting journalism class at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to hear their thoughts on the coverage in Nebraska.

The class discussed what topics they believe have been covered well, what issues they want to see reported more, what mediums they've been consuming their news on, stories they've enjoyed and other topics related to reporting on the pandemic.
