GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KMTV) - A second person has died from coronavirus-related complications in Nebraska.
The Central District Health Department announced on Friday that the case was a hospitalized woman in her 60s with underlying health issues. She lived in Hall County.
All identified close contacts will be notified, asked to self-quarantine and be actively monitored twice daily by CDHD for fever and respiratory symptoms.
Earlier Friday, Douglas County reported the state's first COVID-19 death. In that instance, it was a man in his 50s with underlying health conditions. He had contact with a known COVID-19 case out of state and had been self-quarantined since March 11 at home.
