A 12-year-old was injured after he was accidentally shot by his brother Wednesday evening, police say.
The Omaha Police Department says they responded to the shooting around 6 p.m. at a home on Cuming Street, near 122nd Street.
Investigators say the 12-year-old’s brother, whose age was not provided, accidentally fired a shotgun and injured the child.
His injuries were not considered life-threatening, though Nebraska Medicine reports he is in critical condition Thursday.
Police records show a 14-year-old was arrested in connection with the shooting.
