1:23 p.m. update:
The Council Bluffs Police Department has released the names of two people injured in a head-on crash Tuesday morning.
Investigators say around 9:30 a.m., 27-year-old Heather Wilkinson, of Omaha, crossed the center line while traveling along the Avenue G viaduct and collided with a van driven by 59-year-old Diane Nelson, of Council Bluffs.
Firefighters had to extricate Wilkinson, who was trapped in her vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The crash is still under investigation.

Two people were critically injured in a crash in Council Bluffs Tuesday morning.
Rescue crews were called to the two-vehicle crash just before 10 a.m. on the Avenue G viaduct. Officials say the drivers of each vehicle were taken to Nebraska Medicine.
