4 high-profile standoffs in 3 weeks in metro

A standoff Friday afternoon in a northwest Omaha neighborhood is the fourth high-profile one in three weeks.

Take a look at the timeline below:

Friday, Jan. 22 | Mark L’Heureux

Suspect Mark L’Heureux was taken into custody after a standoff that lasted more than 24 hours  at a home near 83rd and Keystone. L’Heureux died while in jail on Tueday, Feb. 2.

Thursday, Jan. 28 | William A. Adams

Stolen vehicle suspect William Adams, 33, was shot and later died after a standoff at the Grover Square apartments near 68th and Grover.

Police say an officer fired at him when Adams pointed his gun in the direction of officers. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Wednesday, Feb. 10 | Dwight Rodgers

Police say Dwight Rodgers retreated to an apartment near 160th and West Center Road after opening fire inside the Parliament Pub at 168th Street on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Rodgers is accused of shooting at officers with the intent to kill before eventually surrendering after talking to a negotiator, according to police.

Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 | Suspect not yet identified

Police responded to a home near 140th and Miami streets around 11 a.m. Friday.  The standoff continued into the evening.
