Alexander Payne’s new movie finished its Omaha shoot Thursday. The Oscar Award-winning Nebraska-native director brought production for his latest film, ‘Downsizing’ to Omaha for four days this week.
Filming began near The Nebraska Medical Center Monday evening. It returned to the duplex Thursday. Crowds swarmed the street to Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig shooting a scene on the front lawn of a duplex near 48th and Douglas Streets.
KMTV Cameras rolled the entire week, as the production moved around midtown. We caught people’s reactions to the star-sightings and were granted exclusive access to some of the movie shoots.
The production moves from Nebraska to Canada where the cast and crew will finish up the majority of the filming.
