While it’s the season of giving, one organization wants you to consider giving life.
The American Red Cross is seeking more people to give blood this holiday season.
“During the winter months and especially around the holidays, blood donations tend to decline,” Katie Marsha, with Red Cross Midwest Blood Services Region said in a prepared statement Wednesday.
Blood drive organizers are giving away a special Red Cross mixing spoon accompanied with recipes from celebrity chefs between Nov. 25 and Nov. 29.
Donors at special blood drives will also get a Baker’s gift card to be used toward the purchase of a pie:
