The site of a former Omaha landmark is ready to make its mark once again.

30 Metro is set to open within the next couple of months at 30th and Fort streets.

For 55 years, Mister C’s restaurant entertained guests until 2007 at that location. The property went neglected after that, and there was a fire in 2013.

The White Lotus Group began redevelopment work shortly after the fire.

The $20 million facility includes 110 apartments, a health clinic, T-Mobile, and more storefront space.

They say it will be a great compliment to Metro Community College, which recently finished a $90 million project to build three new buildings. White Lotus Group says it wants to provide affordable housing with nice amenities since MCC doesn’t have any on-campus housing.
