A La Vista man charged Tuesday with attempting to murder his girlfriend is in Sarpy County jail on a $1 million bond.
Eleazar Garcia-Zuniga, 38, was charged with attempted murder in the first degree, first-degree sexual assault, and first-degree assault.
According to an Omaha World-Herald report, witnesses told police Garcia-Zuniga attempted to cut his girlfriend's throat during an argument.
A preliminary hearing has been set for Oct. 24.
