Fremont Police and Nebraska State Troopers are investigating a crash that killed an 11 year old pedestrian Monday afternoon.
Police say 11 year old Andrew Perez Martinez died after he was hit by an SUV driven by a 16 year old near East Military Avenue and Luther Road. Police say there is no crosswalk at the location where the crash occurred. Perez Martinez was taken to Fremont Health and later transferred by medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital where he later died.
Police say the drive was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the accident.
