Police experts who help businesses prevent robberies are hosting a training session Tuesday.
The Omaha Police Department’s Business Watch Squad will give a 90-minute presentation starting at 6:30 p.m. at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, 1919 Aksarben Dr.
Organizers say business leaders who attend will learn:
- Strategies for prevention
- What employees should do in the event of a robbery
- What to do after a robbery to help police and be a good witness
- Low-cost environmental changes to deter crime
A second training seminar is scheduled for Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Northwest Precinct, 10245 Wiesman Dr.
