Cass County Sheriff's Office probing incident involving deceased dog

CUMBERLAND, Iowa (KMTV) - The Cass County Sheriff's Office is looking for help identifying two people connected to a report of a dead dog being put into a ditch.

Authorities say the dog was put into a ditch near 650th Street just north of Pella Road around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. They say the dog appeared to be "emaciated and neglected."

According to the sheriff's office, the two people were in an "older model black Pontiac with a sticker across the top front of the windshield and a sticker across the back window."
