Omaha metro to launch human trafficking campaign

Omaha city leaders and metro law enforcement representatives plan to announce a human trafficking awareness campaign Wednesday.

Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, along with representatives from police departments in Ralston, La Vista and Bellevue, plus county and state agencies plan to speak at a 10 a.m. news conference.

No other details about the campaign have been released yet. The Coalition on Human Trafficking, Metropolitcan Hospitality Association and Women's Fund of Omaha will also participate.
