An accidental call lead to Zach Hillmer, a Jimmy John's driver in Columbus, becoming an accidental hero when he drove an ailing veteran to the hospital.

His kindness caught the attention of not just his community but also the CEO of Jimmy John's, who presented him with a new car on Sunday.

"It was amazing I don't know if I've ever worked for a company that has that kind of initiative, so really amazing," he said.

Hillmer got a call from Jimmy John Liautaud on Saturday asking how his car was and when he said it was not the best, Jimmy John stepped in.

I said 'you know what, I'm gonna bring you a new car,'" Jimmy John said. "It's a wonderful wonderful way to acknowledge a wonderful American spirit I asked him this morning, 'Zach would you have done it for anybody,' and he said 'I would have done it for anybody,' I mean this kid just a good kid"
