Days after the Speer family were killed in a fire that destroyed their two-story home, community members are finding ways to support the friends and family who are hurting from this tragedy.
One family friend has organized a "Pink Out on Halloween event' - a movement that will light the town in pink.
Liz Guenthner says they chose pink because the household consisted of mostly girls - with Elli, Addilyn, Emma and Anniston, and their parents, Mike and Michelle Speer.
"Everybody was looking for something to do and in a community like this, everybody knew them. And I think this giving the children, that can't even express themselves or get involved, I think this is the way to do it," says Guenthner.
Family friends have ordered pink glow sticks to hand out to kids on Halloween, a special holiday for Murray. Others will change their porch lights to pink so that as people look down the streets of Murray, the Speers' spirits will illuminate the town.
"I know we have pink lights that we'd like to line the whole main street so that when people are pulling into town, all of those girls, and the mom and dad are on their minds, as well as the family that is left behind," adds Guenthner.
Friends created the 'Pink Out' event on Facebook, which captivated the attention of people throughout the country who want to support the Speers and Perez family.
"We have friends who are from here who have moved to the Omaha area and they are planning on doing something in their neighborhoods to make it grow and that just shows me how much this family meant to so many people."
Guenthner hopes the movement spreads to other surrounding communities.
