The driver of a concrete truck that rolled over on a car and killed two men in October now faces a criminal charge..
Austin Holloway, 20, of Fremont, was booked into the Sarpy County Jail for motor vehicle homicide around 5:45 p.m. Friday evening.
The online Sarpy County Jail inmate locator shows Holloway was being held on $50,000 bond 10 percent. Holloway posted bond and was released at approximately 6:15 p.m..
The Sarpy County Attorney's office tells our partner the Omaha World-Herald that Holloway was driving recklessly and too fast before the truck tipped over.
On October 25th, Holloway was driving eastbound on Giles Road when he attempted to make a right-hand turn on 120th Street. The fully-loaded cement truck overturned onto a car stopped at the stop light, killing 23-year-olds Michael Dearden and Phillip Hertel. Both men were on their lunch break from their painting job when the crash happened.
