There's a new app coming to the Omaha area and 3 News Now that will help put the power of journalism in your hands. It's called Fresco News.
You'll have the chance to help show us what's happening where you live and make a few bucks too.
Fresco News CEO John Meyer stopped by Upfront at 4 today and explained how it works, "Starting today, you download the app and all of sudden you are able to start receiving assignment alerts for events happening near you. So, that could be for a breaking news event like a fire or for like a community event like a parade or a fair."
The video you upload to the app could end up on the air on 3 News Now. And you could receive as much as $40 for your work. The app is available on iPhone and Android devices.
