The Council Bluffs School Board is expected to name a new superintendent Tuesday night.
The Board is expected to confirm Dr. Vickie Murillo's selection to be the next superintendent and to issue a contract to her.
Board members selected Murillo from among 57 candidates and five finalists to succeed Dr. Martha Bruckner, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
Murillo is currently the Chief Academic and Accountability Officer in the Kansas City, Missouri school district
