The crash occurred on Highway 34 between Highway 75.
Lt. Dennis Svoboda with the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office said a car was traveling West on Highway 34 went over the center median and hit a semi almost head on.
Two of the three people in the car were ejected, dying on impact and Svoboda says it's uncommon to see an accident like this in this area. "this stretch of roadway has been open for about four or five years. this is the first one I can recall," he said.
The third passenger in the car along with the semi truck driver were transported to the hospital, the passenger in critical condition and the semi truck driver in fair condition.
Sarpy County investigators are still investigating if drugs, alcohol, speed or not wearing seat belts were the factor in the crash.
