A student and four others went to the hospital this afternoon.

A car and a school bus were involved in a crash at 63rd and Ames around 4:30 p.m.

An Omaha police officer on scene told 3 News Now that one of the people in the car has potentially critical injuries.

Police say preliminary information indicates the school bus was traveling eastbound on Ames. The driver tried to make a left turn on 63rd Street. Someone driving a gray Hyundai hit the back, right side of the bus. Some witnesses, according to police, say the Hyundai was traveling at a high rate of speed, but investigators are working to confirm that.
